Question:
Since the time between the time we learned about this nice project and the submittal date is only about two weeks. And these two weeks include the weekend and a major holidays such as Christmas, I am asking if you could please extend the submittal day to preferably two more weeks to be on Friday January 13.
This is to:
- Give everyone a fair chance to prepare a decent response.
- Avoid giving unfair advantages to the two companies that already is familiar and worked on the projects before this RFP was announced.
- Give the county the opportunity to get better proposals and hopefully better service at lower design fee.
Answer: Due to the short timeframe to complete the construction of the Fire Station (December 12, 2012), we have chosen not to extend the deadline for submittal of proposals.
